Youth Motivating Others through Voices of Experience (Youth MOVE)

What is Youth MOVE?
Youth MOVE was previously known as the National Youth Development Board (NYDB). The NYDB has transitioned from an advisory board to Youth MOVE, an organization for youth. Youth MOVE is made up of a diverse group of youth coordinators and young people from system of care communities and Partnerships in Youth Transition (PYT) sites. The purpose of the organization is to unite the voices and causes of youth; act as consultants to youth, professionals, families, and other adults; and be more involved in the politics and legislation of mental health policies. To support a national youth movement, Youth MOVE also assists in developing the Youth Leadership Program at meetings; creating youth movement principles and policies; and developing training tools, guides, and other documents. Youth MOVE staff are also national consultants who travel throughout the country to coach others in the area of authentic youth involvement.
