Technical Assistance Partnership News - NEW STAFF!!!

Announcing the Technical Assistance Partnership's New Senior Juvenile Justice Advisor Joyce Burrell. Former Deputy Commissioner of the Philadelphia Dept. of Human Services and past president of the Council of Juvenile Correctional Administrators, she has joined the staff of the Technical Assistance Partnership. Joyce has worked in the juvenile justice arena for 17 years and is an advocate for the appropriate and timely assessment, treatment and placement for youth in the juvenile justice system. She believes that the System of Care principles and values offer tremendous relief for a system that is ill prepared to respond to the complex needs of youth who are seriously emotionally disturbed in most traditional juvenile justice settings. She is excited about the opportunity to provide technical assistance to so many caring families and dedicated professionals who are changing the way services are delivered to a very special and growing population of young people.
