The Summer System of Care Community Meeting June 3-7, 2003 - Tulsa, OK

The meeting will focus on serving youth with co-occurring substance abuse and serious emotional disorders. The aim is to identify strategies for building systems of care that address the comprehensive behavioral health needs of all youth who need such support. Our ability to improve outcomes for these children and their families depends not only on learning opportunities but also on effective collaboration across other critical areas of support, such as families, health, mental health, child welfare, substance abuse, and juvenile justice. As in the past, we have worked to create a dynamic and informative agenda with opportunities for many kinds of formal and informal presentations, workshops, and an Information Fair where resources can be exchanged. The range of topics is broad; the presentation options are even broader. Your knowledge, expertise, and experience are what will bring this meeting to life. Your involvement as a participant or a presenter can help showcase how the systems of care can work for youth with co-occurring substance abuse/serious emotional disturbances, for their families, and for the communities across the country in which they live.
