2007 Council for Children with Behavioral Disorders Forum

February 9-10 , 2007 – Las Vegas, NV

This year’s CCBD forum is entitled “Educating Troubled Children/Youth: Innovative Approaches, Alternative Settings, and Multidisciplinary Collaboration Resulting in Positive Outcomes.” The forum will focus on practical issues and solutions to promote positive educational outcomes.

Workshops and activities will include:

    • Past to Present Perspectives on Educating Troubled Children/Youth and the Challenges Ahead
    • The Many Faces of Troubled Children/Youth: Addressing Issues Surrounding Cultural, Ethnic, and Linguistic Diversity
    • Arrested Development: Stemming the Growth of Antisocial, Oppositional and Aggressive Behavior Among Troubled Children and Youth
    • Collaborative Innovations in Serving Troubled Children and Youth
    • Multidisciplinary Approaches: Focus on Transition and Reintegration
    • Discussion Groups to Further Explore Workshop Topics

Child Welfare League of America 2007 National Conference

February 26-28, 2007 – Washington, DC

CWLA will be hosting a national conference entitled, “Children 2007: Raising Our Voices for Children” in Washington, DC. The conference offers the chance to meet face-to-face, to initiate discussions and collaborations, to showcase best-practice models, and to vocalize your concerns about issues affecting children and families in one-on-one meetings with lawmakers.
